Complete transformation of a small 1950's rambler kitchen to a modern bright space. We removed a load-bearing wall to highlight a custom crafted exposed beam and post. We extended the existing walnut floor for a seamless flow. By removing the wall it allowed for an open railing staircase. The owners wanted more counterspace so we multiplied the existing counters 9 times! The low wall gave both mom and dad an opportunity to cook dinner while still being part of the family activities. An added breakfast bar is now a great place to enjoy a cup of morning coffee. What was once a dark separated kitchen is now is now flooded with daylight. Loads of changes including new cabinets, countertops, appliances, backsplash, lighting, and plumbing fixtures make this one of our favorite remodels.
